It is also important to educate them about the strange night noises, as well as the possible eerie silence. Make sure you explain every single sound that they will hear like twig crackling, owl hooting and any other unfamiliar outdoor sound. The important thing to make sure is that, they know for sure that there is nothing to be scared of.

It is advisable to camp in the right camping grounds. This is especially true if you are taking your kids with you. Although the idea of going off to unfamiliar grounds can be really tempting, you should always consider the comfort of your kids first. Campsites offer amenities that the bush does not. Campsite are also always located a short distance from main lodges, so that campers can always feel safe knowing that they have somewhere to go in case of emergencies.
If you have never gone camping, the best thing you can do is to ask someone who has. Learn from their experience and ask for tips on how to pack or for tricks on how to keep your kids happy. It is not a crime to admit ignorance. It is better to have someone else teach you than commit mistakes that could put your kids in danger.
